Our Purpose

Helping Young Learners Stay Connected to Marathi Language and Culture

MMBA Marathi Shala provides children with opportunities to learn reading, writing, pronunciation, conversation, prayers, poems, and cultural traditions while staying connected to their roots through a combination of online classes and in-person activities.

Learning Beyond Language

Marathi Shala focuses on creating an engaging environment where children develop familiarity with the Marathi language and participate in cultural learning.

Barakhadi, words, and numbers

Prarthana and Shlok

Reading and writing

Pronunciation and speaking practice

Conversations in Marathi

Rivers and mountains of India and the USA

Class Years:

बालवाडी ते पाचवी (बालवाडी, पहिली, दुसरी, तिसरी, चौथी, पाचवी)

Activities:

आकाश कंदील, पणती रंगवणे

दिवाळी celebration

मकर संक्रांती - तिळ गुळ

सूर्य नमस्कार प्रात्यक्षिक

लेझीम

शाळेचे वार्षिक संमेलन - मुलांच्या विविध कलागुणांना वाव... नाटक, नृत्य, गायन, वैगेरे

Exams:

शाळेच्या तिमाही परीक्षा (For every of each 3 trimesters)

शाळेची वार्षिक परीक्षा

Optional - BMM exam based on grade

Optional - महाराष्ट्र शासन exam based on grade

All exams written + Oral formats...

All Exams:
Lower Grades have more weightage on oral skills

Higher Grades have more weightage on written skills

Optional BMM Shala examinations are conducted along with MMBA Marathi Shala exams

Flexible Learning Experience

Marathi Shala follows a hybrid model with classes conducted through Zoom, while cultural activities and examinations are held in person.

Important Information

Minimum age requirement: 5 years

Classes are held every Sunday afternoon

Hybrid learning model combining online and in-person activities

Open to children interested in learning Marathi language and culture
