Marathi Shala

Passing language, stories, and identity from one generation to the next

Marathi Shala is more than learning a language. It is where children discover songs their grandparents grew up with, understand the meaning behind traditions, and build a deeper connection with their roots while growing up in the Bay Area. Through storytelling, conversation, celebrations, and cultural experiences, we create a space where Marathi feels lived, joyful, and welcoming for every generation. Whether a child speaks fluent Marathi or is hearing it for the first time, every family finds encouragement, warmth, and community here.

Senior Circle creates opportunities for Maharashtrian seniors across the Bay Area to come together through gatherings, celebrations, discussions, wellness activities, and friendships that make this journey abroad feel more connected. Granthalaya brings together readers, learners, and families who wish to stay connected with Marathi literature while living far from home. From timeless classics to modern writing, children’s books to cultural references, the library becomes a shared community resource that encourages curiosity, language, and lifelong learning. It is not only a collection of books, but a quiet bridge between Matrubhoomi and Karmbhoomi.
